Our founder, who began her skincare regime at 13 due to the influence of her great-grandmother, continued to feed her obsession for all things ‘beauty’ throughout her 20’s and 30’s by reading every beauty magazine she could find (before the internet), going to the smallest and largest purveyors of beauty products, visiting every pharmacy in every country she visited, and learning everything she could about ingredients.

She became the one who fielded questions from her family, friends, and co-workers (male and female) on what skincare products they should use, what skin concerns they had (no, she’s not a dermatologist but she plays one on TV) and everyone was happy. And she was happy, because the popular brands and professional skin care lines were working beautifully for her.

Then, the age of 42 happened. Her once beautiful skin began to react to almost everything she loved. As a busy wife, mom and executive, she began to panic.

But then, she began to dive into ingredients again- on planes, on trains, at soccer games- and then she mixed ingredients at home, and she realized that more natural products seemed to play nicer with her skin. Her husband, and very patient test subject, started to enjoy the way his skin looked and felt. Queue more family, friends and co-workers asking her to mix up ‘whatever it is you two are using’ for their use.

After all of her research, she realized that many men and women over 40 were facing the same challenges that she and her husband were facing. And, that most companies were missing the opportunity to educate men and women about how skin changes as we age.

She started Eonian in 2019, and after some trips to a local lab, a global pandemic, and the last child heading off to college, she finally launched a few products in 2024.
