I began my skincare routine at 13, thanks to the influence of my great-grandmother. From that moment on, I was hooked. Throughout my 20s and 30s, I devoured every beauty magazine I could find (this was pre-internet, mind you), scoured both tiny boutiques and massive beauty retailers, explored pharmacy aisles in every country I visited, and soaked up everything I could about skincare ingredients.

Over time, I became the go-to for my friends, family, and coworkers—women and men alike. They came to me with their skin concerns, asking what products to try, what might help with dryness, breakouts, dullness—you name it. No, I’m not a dermatologist (though I joke that I play one on TV), but I loved helping, and the products I recommended were working beautifully… for a while.

Then, 10 years ago, when I turned 42, things changed.

Suddenly, the products I had sworn by stopped working. My skin became sensitive, reactive, and frustrating. As a wife, mom, and full-time executive, I’ll admit—I panicked.

But then I did what I’ve always done: I dove back into the ingredients. On planes, at soccer games, in between meetings—I studied, experimented, and started mixing formulas at home. And to my surprise, my skin responded better to simpler, more natural ingredients. My husband (my most patient test subject!) loved how his skin felt too. Before long, friends and family were asking for “whatever it is you two are using.”

I realized we weren’t alone. So many men and women over 40 were struggling with the same skin changes—and very few brands were talking about it, let alone offering real solutions.

That’s why I started Eonian in 2019. After rounds of research, formulation trials, trips to a local lab, a global pandemic, and sending our youngest off to college, I finally launched our first products in 2024.
